Michael L. Matuska

Michael L. Matuska has been a leader in the Northern Nevada legal community since 1994. Throughout his career, he has contributed to the legal landscape with multiple published opinions from the Nevada Supreme Court and numerous scholarly publications. Licensed to practice in Nevada and California, Mr. Matuska has built a distinguished reputation in his field.

Following his graduation from the University of California, Davis School of Law in 1994, Mr. Matuska began his legal career in Carson City at the Law Offices of Danie R. Walsh, P.C. Then in 1998, he joined the Douglas County-based law firm Brook Shaw Zumpf, where he later became a partner. In 2011, he took the next step in his career by founding Matuska Law Offices, Ltd., a thriving solo practice. Mr. Matuska’s practice spans various areas, including real estate, construction, corporate law, commercial litigation, and alternative dispute resolution. Mr. Matuska is also recognized as a leading expert in Common Interest Community Law in Northern Nevada. His dedication to Common Interest Community Law was exemplified in 2011 when he championed one of Nevada’s seminal cases on limited common interest elements before the Supreme Court of Nevada.

In addition, Mr. Matuska is a certified mediator, arbitrator, and referee, as well as a member of the Real Estate Section of the Nevada State Bar Association. His deep-rooted commitment to Northern Nevada extends beyond the courtroom, as he remains dedicated to serving the community and the people who make it extraordinary.
